In the first book of a prominent Russian historian A.A. Fursenko, an analysis of the history of the Rockefeller family is given. The founder of the dynasty, John Davison Rockefeller, became the world's first billionaire, his very name is a symbol of wealth. The book shows that the Rockefeller business has gone through a path that has become characteristic of many large entrepreneurs - from trading in oil - to transporting it, then to creating oil refineries and mastering their own sources of raw materials - first in the USA, then in other regions. The creation of the oil monopoly was accompanied by the strengthening of the political influence of the Rockefellers both in the United States and around the world.
In the second book, AAFursenko was the first historian to study the half-century period of rivalry between major oil companies - Russian, American, English, Dutch (from the 1980s to the 20s of the XX century). This struggle for oil and markets for its sale was called the "oil wars" and largely determined the subsequent development of the economy and politics in the 20th century.
