The book is a study of the political history of India in the XX - early XXI century. It deals with the issues of the national liberation struggle against British power in India, the division of the country into the Indian Union and Pakistan, the formation of an independent India, the problems of its domestic and foreign policy. The work is based on a wide documentary base, scientific results of past and latest research.
