Vertsinsky, Eduard Aleksandrovich - Russian major general, participant in the First World War. He graduated from the 1st Cadet Corps, the 1st Pavlovsk Military School, and in 1900 he graduated from the Nikolaev General Staff Academy in the 1st category. He was stationed at the Warsaw Military District. Participated in the Russian-Japanese War. During World War I he commanded the 145th Infantry. Emigrated to Estonia, lived in Tallinn. After the annexation of the Baltic states, he was arrested by the NKVD. On February 24, 1941 he was sentenced to death, shot in Leningrad.
