The condition of the books is solidly good - very good. There is some wear on the edges of the spines. Blocks of pages without comments.

The complete collected works of Pushkin in 10 volumes edited by B.V. Tomashevsky (the so-called “small academic” edition) were prepared on the basis of " large academic" collection 1937-1949. and released for the 150th anniversary of Pushkin’s birth (1949). The second, corrected and expanded edition of the academic 10-volume book was published in 1956-1958. The last, 4th edition of the 10-volume collection (L., Nauka: 1977-1979), included in ENI "PUSHKIN", was reprinted from the 2nd edition with obvious errors corrected.

The task of the 10-volume collection — provide in a publicly accessible form the full text of all the poet’s works and a selection of the most important options. In some cases, deviations from the text of the “large academic” publication are made; they are associated with the emergence of new documentary materials (for example, the full text of the poem “Vadim” is given) or new scientific reconstructions (the poem “Tavrida”, etc.). Many works were again checked using autographs (for example, changes were made to the text of the “History of Peter”). A number of works are included in an academic collection of works for the first time (for example, the story “A Secluded House on Vasilyevsky”, recorded by V. P. Titov from the words of A. S. Pushkin).

The first three volumes of the collection include poems by Pushkin; volume 4 contains poems, volume 5 contains the “novel in verse” “Eugene Onegin” and dramatic works; Volume 6 contains fiction; 7th - criticism and journalism; 8th - autobiographical and historical prose, "The History of Pugachev" and "Notes of Moreau de Braze"; The 9th volume is devoted to “The History of Peter” and “Notes about Kamchatka” (the appendix to the 9th volume contains the story “The Secluded House on Vasilievsky”); Volume 10 contains letters collected.

All are provided with brief explanatory notes placed at the end of each volume. The appendix to each volume contains excerpts from earlier editions. Volume 9 contains an alphabetical index of Pushkin’s works, volume 10 contains an index of letters by addressee.
