The book contains 3 works of the German philosopher, musician and doctor, Nobel Peace Prize winner for 1952 Albert Schweitzer (1875-1965), related to his stay in Africa (Gabon), starting from 1913. The book "Between the waters and virgin forest" was published in the original in 1921, the book "Letters from Lambarene" - in 1925-1927. The book "More about Lambarin" combines essays and articles published in 1946-1963. This is a kind of result of many years of activity of the author. Starting from 1913, he worked as a doctor in one of the most remote and dangerous for human health and life areas of the former French colonies in Equatorial Africa, where sleeping sickness, leprosy and other most serious and most often incurable diseases at that time were rampant.

The condition of the book is solidly good, there is some yellowing of the paper.
