The first volume includes works written in 1750-1775. The order of placement of works allows us to trace the evolution of the philosophical views of G.S. Frying pans. The volume opens with a collection of poems, The Garden of Divine Songs. From the "Garden" selected songs that are of value in a philosophical sense. "Fables of Kharkov" and subsequent works, including two recently found - "Conversation 1st" and "Conversation 2nd", characterize the thinker as a philosopher who placed the ethical-humanistic concept at the center of his system. The volume concludes "The Conversation Called the Alphabet, or Primer of the World." The second volume includes philosophical works created by him in the 70-90s of the 18th century: the treatises “The Icon of Alcibiades” and “Lot’s Wife”, the dialogues “The War of the Archangel Michael with Satan”, “About the Devil with Barsabay” and “The Flood serpent" and two parables - "Grateful Erodius" and "Poor Lark". In addition, the volume includes the epistolary heritage of the philosopher, which is more than one hundred and twenty letters, his philological studies and translations. The volume concludes with a biography of Skovoroda, written by his friend and student M. Kovalinsky, which is one of the most important sources for studying the philosophy and work of G. Skovoroda.
