This volume, published in the series "Philosophy of Russia in the first half of the 20th century", is dedicated to the work of 4 outstanding methodologists of the history of the late 19th - early 20th centuries. - Nikolai Ivanovich Kareev (1850-1931), Alexander Sergeevich Lappo-Danilevsky (1863-1919), Dmitry Moiseevich Petrushevsky (1863-1942) and Veniamin Mikhailovich Khvostov (1868-1920), who were the creators of the original concepts of the methodology of history ("the theory of historical knowledge", "theories of the methodology of history", "the logical style of historical science", "theories of the historical process").
