This book tells about a brilliant chess player and a charming man, world champion 1921-1927, a great friend of Soviet chess players Cuban Jose-Raul Capablanca.

The book contains a chess biography of Capablanca, which uses the memoirs of contemporaries and rivals of the Cuban luminary and the opinions of the greatest experts on his work, primarily Emanuel Lasker and Alexander Alekhine. This is followed by 70 selected games of Capablanca. In the comments to them, analyzes of both Capablanca himself and his partners and critics are used.
