The book is dedicated to the outstanding Soviet drafts player V. Sokov, who died during the Great Patriotic War. V.Sokov's sphere of interests included not only Russian drafts and drafts composition, but also international drafts and also chess. The book consists of four parts. The first tells about the life and work of V. Sokov, the second - about Sokov the chess player; the third included more than 150 drafts games, arranged not in chronological order, but by openings.
