Along with the presentation of the traditional material of kinematics, point dynamics, system and rigid body dynamics, a number of new problems are considered, attention to which is due to the modern development of science and technology. For example, the book examines in sufficient detail: the theory of jet propulsion, the theory of oscillations with disturbing forces actually encountered in radio engineering, the theory of nonlinear oscillations, variational problems and theories of relativity.
The book contains a large number of examples and problems (about 600) related to modern engineering practice.

The book is intended for undergraduate and graduate students of colleges and universities, as well as teachers of theoretical mechanics.
