The life and work of Churchill, a militant imperialist, anti-communist, ideologist of the Cold War, is shown in close connection with the domestic and foreign policy life of England, as well as the most important events that took place on the world stage.
After the publication of the first edition, numerous publications of archival documents, extensive literature on the history of international relations of the 20th century, memoirs and diaries appeared.
All these documents are taken into account in the second, current edition.
