The current state of the problem of diffraction of steady and unsteady elastic forces and determination of dynamic stress near stress concentrators of various shapes is presented. The main attention is paid not only to the development of research methods, but especially to obtaining solutions in a form that makes it possible to determine the diffraction field primarily near reflective surfaces, which is essential when assessing dynamic intensity. The monograph presents a large number of specific problems of elastic wave diffraction.
