In this edition, the text of Kirsha Danilov's Collection is reproduced twice. The publication of the text reproducing the manuscript of the Collection is addressed to specialists - historians of folklore and literature, linguists, and representatives of related scientific disciplines. Other tasks determine the publication of another text, which comes first in this book. In order to give the reader an idea of ​​the texts of the Collection as works of folk poetry, as songs, the texts are divided into poetic lines and freed from those manuscript features that make it difficult to understand these texts and perceive their artistic nature. In the second edition, the texts were re-checked, corrections were made where necessary, articles and comments were supplemented taking into account new data and research that appeared after 1958. The publication was prepared by A.P. Evgenieva and B.N. Putilov.
