The paper explores various aspects of the manifestation of blood in culture, its symbolic expression and regulatory functions. The possibility of cultivating archaic elements of consciousness is substantiated and the practical significance of the historical experience of localization and cultural design of bloodshed and aggression is emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the problem of the ontological status of blood in culture, on the basis of which it is proposed to overcome educational rhetoric and value-colored intonation when discussing blood, and also the radical incompatibility of blood circulation in the naturalistic and cultural sense is removed. The publication is addressed both to specialists - philosophers, culturologists, anthropologists, and to the widest range of readers.
