The first book of the anthology gives a broad panorama of the poetry of the older generation of Russian emigration: from the main representatives of Russian symbolism - D. Merezhkovsky, Vyach. Ivanov, Z. Gippius to the oldest representative of the second wave of Russian emigration D. Klenovsky. Most of the names of this book are well known to the Russian reader, including I. Bunin, V. Khodasevich, M. Tsvetaeva, I. Severyanin, but many have been firmly and undeservedly forgotten even by literary criticism of the Russian diaspora. In this volume, the reader will find poems by L. Berdyaeva (the philosopher's wife), A. Kondratiev. Y. Terapiano, A. Prismanova and many others.

The second book of the four-volume anthology includes works by the greatest poets of the next generation of the first and second wave of Russian emigration. The verses of the oldest acmeist G. Ivanov open it, and the verses of V. Andreev (son of Leonid Andreev and brother of Daniil Andreev) complete it. Here the reader will meet the 'songwriter' A. Perfilyev, the surrealist B. The third book of the four-volume anthology includes mainly poems by emigrant poets of the so-called unnoticed generation . B. Poplavsky is considered to be his brightest representative, and the book opens with his poems. Here are published poems by the famous American composer V.
