Исследования. Письма о литературе

This publication is the first book of works by the remarkable philologist of the Russian emigration to be published in Russia. The two sections of the book - "Studies" and "Letters on Literature" - correspond to two areas of the author's abundant literary activity in Prague, where he worked, in the 1920s and especially in the 30s: these are studies of the poetics of Dostoevsky and Pushkin (including a cycle of "psychoanalytic studies" about the work of Dostoevsky), as well as Goethe's Faust in Russian reception, and lively criticism of current literature both in emigration and in Soviet Russia, with which he regularly spoke in periodicals of Russian emigration.
