Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin was a talented artist. A huge graphic heritage - more than one and a half thousand drawings - is scattered over hundreds of pages of draft manuscripts, on separate sheets, in the albums of his friends. Extremely interesting are Pushkin's illustrations for his own works - "Prisoner of the Caucasus", "Eugene Onegin", "Mermaid", "The Undertaker" and others. The most remarkable thing in Pushkin's drawings is, of course, portraits. Researchers are gradually able to establish who is depicted on one or another of them. Most of the drawings reproduced in this book are published for the first time.
