The third edition of the textbook retains the main emphasis aimed at describing the structure and properties of the most important biopolymers, the role of their spatial organization in ensuring the specificity of biochemical processes, the role of enzymes in chemical transformations in wildlife, the role of matrix biosynthesis as a way to ensure the diversity of structures using universal catalysts. Additionally, issues that have been developed in recent years, such as ribozymes - enzymes based on RNA, methods for molecular selection of nucleic acids, dynamic aspects of biological catalysis, and computer approaches to studying the structure and function of biopolymers, are included. When considering the experimental methods of biochemistry, attention is paid to the methods generated by biochemistry itself, in particular the use of matrix enzymes in fundamental and applied research.
