In order to purposefully educate a creative person, it is necessary to know both the mechanisms that form it and the features of the structure. The artist is the most fertile model for such study.
We will try to identify and describe some general patterns and features of the artistic potential of a creative person using the example of an analysis of the personality and work of famous artists. Of course, at the same time, we are far from the idea that every member of society must be a professional musician, writer or singer, but anyone can be taught to think creatively with the help of art. Let us first of all dwell on the question, what is the artist's creative personality in general?
In our science, especially after the works of M.M. Bakhtin, the position was firmly established that the artistic personality cannot be identified with the biographical personality of the artist, although they should not be separated from each other. An artistic personality grows, is formed on the basis of a biographical personality, but, having formed, it has the opposite effect on a biographical personality.
The personalities of some artists seem to be more "favorable" for the realization of the goals that we have set for ourselves. From our point of view, such personalities include those about whom the art historian D.V. Sarabyanov wrote that their "biography itself becomes the history of the development of an artistic personality." Having studied the biography of these artists well, it is easier to identify the features of their artistic personality.
