Written in accordance with the curriculum of the painting course for art and pedagogical schools and is devoted to the study of the basics of painting. The main place in the publication is given to the theory of a realistic image, as well as to the patterns of color. The first chapter discusses the essence and meaning of tone and color relationships, the concept of color unity and color tension of color. Chapter two is devoted to the method of determining light and shade and color relationships. The third chapter is devoted to practical exercises, the development of skills for the scenic performance of field assignments.
In the proposed exercises, an attempt was made to determine the range of theoretical and practical requirements for individual settings, taking into account the progressive complication of these requirements. In the fourth chapter, a significant place is given to the analysis of the creative tasks of painting and the basics of composition are outlined. The publication can be recommended as a practical guide for students of art studios, art teachers and amateur artists.
