The brief encyclopedic reference book "Jazz in Russia" is a logical continuation of two editions of the encyclopedic reference book "Jazz". The author-compiler Vladimir Feiertag focuses on the history of jazz in the Soviet Union and modern Russia: the chronology of festivals, the history of jazz clubs, the process of establishing jazz departments in educational institutions. Most of the guide is devoted to jazz personalities - not only musicians, but also critics, journalists, propagandists and festival organizers. The publication is intended for a wide range of interested readers.
