2022 marks the 350th anniversary of the birth of Peter I Alekseevich, nicknamed the Great. The legendary reformer tsar radically changed the course of Russian history. Many books and articles have been written about him. I invite you, dear readers, to get acquainted with the book of the Polish-French historian Kazimir Waliszewski "Peter the Great". The essay was published in 1897. The author devoted more than thirty years to the study of Russia.
