Publisher's abstract: "Churchill, the foremost representative of British imperialism, the Minister of War of post-war England, a direct participant in the Treaty of Versailles, the most active inspirer of intervention against Soviet Russia, published several volumes of memoirs. The State Military Publishing House is publishing a translation of the last (fifth) volume of Churchill's memoirs, dedicated to the post-war period. This volume covers the development of the terms of the peace treaty of Versailles, the demobilization of the British army, and a description of the post-war situation in the most important countries. Several chapters are specifically devoted to intervention and assistance to white armies. These chapters are of greatest interest to our reader. On the whole, Churchill's World Crisis, written in bright, witty, in some places caustic language of a direct participant in the events described, revealing a number of new facts, or in its own way, from the point of view of British imperialism, describing already known facts, is undoubtedly of great interest. Churchill's entire exposition is purely tendentious. The chapters on intervention, discussed in the preface by Comrade I. Mints, breathe with special tendentiousness, special class malice.
