The history of this book is no less interesting than its contents. Two SS officers, people from Hitler's inner circle - adjutant Otto Günsche and valet Heinz Linge, while in Soviet captivity, wrote their memoirs about Hitler, which NKVD Colonel F. Parparov translated and edited. Stalin got acquainted with this manuscript (a copy remained in his archive), later - members of the Central Committee of the CPSU, but it saw the light, being extracted from the archive, for the first time. Young German historians stumbled upon it, were inspired by a unique find, accompanied by detailed comments and published on the eve of the 60th anniversary of the end of World War II in Germany.
