Черновики будущего: Латвия 1948-1955

The "Baltic Forum" has already published the third volume of our series under the general title "Drafts of the Future", covering probably the most dramatic post-war years for the future fate of Latvia - from 1948 to 1955. The book uses materials from the US National Archives, the Russian State Archives, Latvian state archive. The mass departation during these years became not the key theme of this book, but a leitmotif to the less explored aspects of Laiti activity. As a result of the tragedy of mass expulsion and the action of the Stalinist regime itself, tens of thousands of Latvian residents suffered, who, no matter what, endured all the hardships of that time and ensured the actual survival of the Latvian people.
