History of U.S. Submarine Operations in the Pacific Theater of Operations (World War II). The book was written by the former commander of the submarine forces of the US Pacific Fleet, Vice Admiral Lockwood and Colonel Adamson. The book describes the preparations for a breakthrough and a breakthrough through the mined Korean Strait into the Sea of Japan of nine American submarines, as well as their combat operations on Japanese sea lanes in the summer of 1945. The book contains some information about the methods of target search, approach, torpedo attack and evasion used in the US submarine fleet.
