Gennady Pavlovich Mikhasenko (1936–1994) is a famous writer, playwright, poet, author of a number of short stories and novellas. Some of the writer’s works were filmed: “The Fifth Quarter”, “Dear Ep”. Mikhasenko's stories have become popular and beloved by several generations of readers thanks to the writer's keen observation, knowledge of the psychology of adolescents and the amazing truthfulness of the plots.
