The novel by Andrey Aldan-Semenov "Red and White" is a story about tense events in the East - in the Volga region, in the Urals and in Siberia - in 1918-1919. In the center of the story is the defeat of the troops of the "Omsk dictator" Admiral Kolchak by the Red Army. Using a large documentary material, the author recreates a picture of the armed struggle of the Red Army with the White Guards and Kolchakism, exposes the venality of the admiral's clique, its servile role among the Entente imperialists, as well as the Entente's plans for the economic enslavement of Russia. The reader will find in the book impressive portraits of the heroes of the civil war - the young army commander Tukhachevsky, the legendary commander Azin, and many other red commanders and commissars.
