Not everyone knows that the hero of the Civil War, the legendary commander of the Red Cossacks Vitaly Primakov (1897-1937) was a talented publicist writer, who wrote a series of articles about the struggle for Soviet power in Ukraine, several interesting stories, poems, three books of essays: Notes of a Volunteer, Afghanistan on Fire, Across Japan. The proposed collection includes a part of the creative heritage of the military leadership, which for a long time remained outside the attention of a wide range of readers. Of greatest interest are essays illustrated with photographs taken by the author himself.
