This book is the memoirs of one of the prominent figures of the Soviet state, Anastas Ivanovich Mikoyan (1895-1978). The events described in it cover the period 1895-1920. Against the backdrop of major socio-political events that took place in the Caucasus in the pre-revolutionary years and during the period of the struggle for the victory of Soviet power, the author tells about a whole galaxy of revolutionaries with whom he lived and fought. The reader will see a gallery of such figures of the Bolshevik Party as Mikha Tskhakaya, Sergo Ordzhonikidze, S.M. Kirov, M.V. Frunze, V.V. Kuibyshev, E.D. Stasova and others. A large place in the memoirs is given to the tragic and heroic history of the Baku Commune of 1918, the bright names of Stepan Shaumyan, Mashadi Azizbekov, Alyosha Japaridze, Ivan Fioletov and other Baku commissars and the Bolsheviks of the Caucasus. The activities of the Transcaucasian party organizations, their underground under the conditions of the British occupation, the "universities" that A.I. Mikoyan in those turbulent revolutionary years. The book contains inserts with photographic materials and is intended for a wide range of readers.
