During the war, he led the anti-fascist underground in occupied Odessa, and together with his comrades caused a lot of trouble for the German invaders. The name of the fearless anti-fascist and fighter of the "invisible front" Richard Sorge is known to the whole world. For many years, without hiding his name, Sorge - officially as a German journalist - lived and worked in Japan, performing the most important, most responsible tasks of the Soviet intelligence Center. In November 1964, Comrade Richard Sorge was posthumously awarded the title of Hero of the Soviet Union for outstanding services to the Motherland and the courage and heroism shown at the same time. The author of the book offered to the attention of readers, the writer Yuri Korolkov, worked on a topic dedicated to Richard Sorge for several years. He made a trip to Japan, where he visited the places of past events, met people who knew the glorious Soviet intelligence officer.
