In the novel “The Lyubavins” (1965), V.M. Shukshin showed the story of a large family living in a remote Siberian village, closely intertwined with the history of Russia in the 20th century. Due to the many tragic events reliably shown in the novel, the second part of the work was published only in 1987. The phenomenon of the writer and playwright Vasily Makarovich Shukshin lies, first of all, in the fact that he brought into art his own, unborrowed idea of ​​​​what is happening to people, an idea that is deeply addressed to the hidden essence of Russian life. The heroes of his works are impulsive, give in to impulses, and therefore are extremely natural in their actions. They are united by the ability to perceive the surrounding beauty, natural talent, and compassion for the fate of their neighbors.
