September 1, 1911 in Kyiv, at a solemn performance in the City Theater, in the presence of the emperor and senior dignitaries, the chairman of the Council of Ministers, Pyotr Arkadyevich Stolypin, was mortally wounded by the 24-year-old assistant to the barrister Bogrov.

The book contains documents of the era - newspaper articles written in hot pursuit of the tragedy in Kyiv, mourning speeches of Russian politicians - A.I. Guchkov, P.B. Struve, P.N. created by the Provisional Government, biographies and memories of the main figures in the Kyiv tragedy - P.A. Stolypin and Vl. Bogrove. The purpose of the collection, compiled from documents, testimonies and memoirs of contemporaries, is not only to restore the picture of the assassination attempt and the accompanying socio-historical circumstances, but also to indicate where the key to the "Bogrov's riddle" is located.
