Description
The works included in this edition are written by gifted poets - satirists and humorists, employees of the popular magazines "Satyricon" and "New Satyricon" (1908-1918). Without going beyond the bourgeois-liberal ideology, the satyric poets nevertheless skillfully attacked the policy of the autocracy, wittily ridiculed major officials - bureaucrats, leaders of right-wing parties, the reactionary press, debunked the mores and tastes of the philistine public. The work of P. Potemkin, V. Goryansky, V. Knyazev, E. Vensky and other leading poets of the "Satyricon" is presented in this book in various genres: poetic cartoons, pamphlets, humoresques, parodies, fables, epigrams, etc. This collection is published for the first time .
