Vissarion Grigoryevich Belinsky (1811 - 1848) - Russian thinker, writer, literary critic, publicist, Western philosopher.
The significance of Belinsky and his influence in Russian literature was very great. He not only pointed out the path that literature should follow in order to become a social force, but he was the teacher and leader of the young generation of writers, the Pleiades of the 1840s. As a literary critic, Belinsky put forward and substantiated the theory of realism, determining the path of development of Russian literature for many years to come.
The collection includes all Belinsky's original works and his letters.
