Everything pointed to the guilt of the man suspected of the triple murder. And the strangest thing is that he resolutely refused to explain where he was at the time of the murder. But does that mean he's a killer? The police and the prosecutor's office are sure - YES. However, a young Moscow lawyer, who happened to be in this small town, thinks differently. He intends to prove the innocence of the suspect and takes up the defense - he takes it, not yet suspecting what a complex, dangerous and endlessly confusing case he is drawn into.
