Description In the center of the novel by Vasily Ardamatsky is the most complicated operation carried out in the mid-20s by our Chekists under the leadership of F.E. Dzerzhinsky, to uncover and destroy a counter-revolutionary conspiracy led by an ardent enemy of Soviet power, an experienced conspirator and terrorist, right-wing Socialist-Revolutionary Boris Savinkov. The most difficult duel with Savinkov had to be waged by Chekist A.P. Fedorov. The narrative is based on rich documentary material - letters, diaries of B. Savinkov, excerpts from protocols and other archival materials.
