The Black Book is dedicated to those geographical names that preserve the legacy of communist ideology and propaganda. The purpose of the book is to show the true role played in history by the persons, events and phenomena captured in Soviet names, real and mythologized. Clearing cities and villages of these names is necessary to improve the ideological environment in which our society lives. The return of historical names, as well as the replacement of Soviet names with names associated with the creators of the enduring values ​​of our culture, science and statehood, including figures of the anti-Bolshevik resistance, will help restore the historical continuity of today's Russia

The book was prepared on the initiative of the public committee “Continuity and Revival of Russia” with the support of the Association of Russian Cadets Abroad and the Russian Research Foundation.
