Памятники русской архитектуры и искусства XI-XIX веков

The works of the State Restoration Workshop of Moscow, led by I.E. Grabar, as well as employees of the workshops of Leningrad, Yaroslavl, Kostroma, truly outstanding discoveries were made in ancient Russian art. The study of monuments of ancient Russian painting, wooden sculpture, stone sculptures, architectural masterpieces, decorative and applied arts gives a rich insight into the artistic culture of the people, their history.

The authors of this book focused mainly on architectural monuments of the central and northern regions of the Russian Federation, wanting to show the most typical phenomena in the development of Russian architecture and related arts. Fine arts, architecture and applied arts of Novgorod, Pskov land, Rostov and Suzdal, Moscow and the Moscow region are reflected in the book in color and tone photo illustrations. At the end of the album there are annotations to the available images, literature used by the authors and a list of illustrations.
