The collection "Museum-9" is dedicated to Russian pictorial portraiture of the 18th-19th centuries, as well as various aspects of the activities of art museums in the country. The first section presents materials on the theory and practice of museum work, in particular reports on the Museum of Modern Art in Yerevan, the new exhibition of the Armory Chamber of the Moscow Kremlin. In the main section of the collection - "Russian portrait of the 18th-19th centuries from museums of the USSR" - a catalog of portrait painting in the collection of b. Rybinsk Art Museum, articles about Vologda and Don portraits, a review of the portrait collection of the Chelyabinsk Art Gallery, a study of the portrait art of N.N. Ge. The section of the collection “Attributions, Publications” is traditionally distinguished by its variety of topics, covering a wide range of topics from the history of Russian and Western European, Byzantine and Oriental art. Under the heading “From the history of museums and collections” there is a review of the collection of the Saratov Museum and a study of the initial stages of construction of the State Hermitage building, and in the section “Museum Workers” - the publication of an article by V. F. Levinson-Lessing about Wilhelm von Water, as well as an essay on the activities E.G. Lisenkova.
