The idea of ​​creating an academic Complete Works and Letters of Nekrasov arose and was discussed in the scientific publishing sphere back in the second half of the 1930s. At the same time, some preliminary work was done to implement this idea. However, due to the events of the Great Patriotic War, this work was suspended at the very initial stage. Its results were largely used in the preparation of the Complete Works and Letters.
