Materials of the RUSO conference held on 20 October. 2018. They reflect the controversial problems of modern historiography of the Russian Cossacks. A number of articles are devoted to the historiography of the military history of Russia: the Russian-Turkish war of 1710-1713, the Patriotic War of 1812, the First World War, the Civil War, the Great Patriotic War. The latest research on Soviet literature on the social movement in Russia in the 19th century is presented, it is shown how the image of V.I. Lenin. It also contains information about the Russian peasantry at the beginning of the 20th century, about the White Terror during the Civil War, and to understand the problems of censorship policy to protect state secrets at the present stage.
The collection is intended primarily for historians, researchers and university professors , secondary school teachers, students, for all those who are interested in the national history of modern and recent times.
