This book is devoted to research into the gene pool of the peoples of the Eastern European region using the latest approaches - ethnogenomics and genogeography. Ethnogenomics is one of the most exciting areas of genomics - a new science that emerged from the outstanding research of our time - deciphering the human genome. The task of ethnogenomics is to study the gene pool of a population based on the analysis of genomic diversity and genomic polymorphism. The book presents studies of various types of genomic polymorphism in a large number of populations belonging to peoples of various ethnolinguistic groups. The results obtained from studying the peoples of Eastern Europe using the most modern technologies of computer genogeography demonstrate new opportunities in the study of the main trends in microevolution and the formation of the gene pool of modern humans.
