Everyone remembers where two world wars fell upon us, and therefore hardly anyone remained indifferent to the formation in the center of Europe of a new powerful power pole in the person of a united Germany that arose in a matter of months without violence and blood as a result of the unification of two antipodean states born of the Cold War. How did this actually happen? How were all obstacles to the implementation of the German Bonn policy removed? Can we consider that the last point has been made in the German question? You will find answers to this, as well as many other questions, by reading the proposed monograph by a famous international specialist - the only comprehensive study we have so far of the unification, its origins and dynamics.

(Dietmar Gerhard Stüdemann)
