In 1991, during the mourning celebrations dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Babi Yar tragedy, the Book of Memory of the people who died here was published.

It listed the names of more than 7,000 people and included 203 photographs. These were materials that I managed to collect over the previous 45 years.

Back in 1988, simultaneously with the creation of the Kyiv Society of Jewish Culture, the Memory of Babyn Yar Foundation was created, which continued collecting materials on the basis of my collection...

Over the years of its existence, the Memory of Babyn Yar Foundation has managed to significantly expand the tragic list of victims of this tragedy. The Foundation has a card index and photo library of not only the dead, but also those who escaped death, and the “Righteous Men of Babyn Yar”...

In conclusion, I would like to express my deep gratitude and sincere gratitude to the employees of the Memory of Babyn Yar Foundation, who did a lot to create the Book of Memory: the secretary of the Foundation, Klara Semyonovna Vinokur, who herself escaped execution in the city of Zolotonosha (now lives in Philadelphia, USA), reviewers Valeria Vladimirovna Radchenko and Bronya Yakovlevna Borodyanskaya, as well as Vladimir Nikolaevich Georgienko, Tatyana Aleksandrovna Klinisheva and Svetlana Aleksandrovna Solovyova, who provided assistance at the final stage of preparation of the book...
