The first three books of a multi-volume project on the systematic publication of the most cited works in modern scientific literature by Russian scientists and cultural figures of the 19th - early 20th centuries, dedicated to various aspects of sexuality in the life of Russians throughout centuries-old history of our people.

Collected together, these little-known texts (many of which are unique eyewitness accounts) allow us to take a fresh look at how our ancestors lived and loved, what they considered permissible and forbidden in the relationship between a man and a woman, what was publicly condemned and what was simply not paid attention to.

Some of the topics covered in this project may seem sensational, tendentiously selected and even shocking, to the point of complete rejection. But such was life in Rus', and the more deeply we know our past, the better we will understand the present.
