Georgy Ivanovich Chulkov (1879-1939) - organizer of literary life during the Silver Age, creator of the “theory of mystical anarchism.” He also acted as a poet, prose writer, translator, and literary critic.

The contemporaries of the poet Fyodor Ivanovich Tyutchev (1803-1873) were invariably amazed and delighted by his sharp mind. “In my lifetime I have had many occasions to talk and listen to famous storytellers, but none of them made such a charming impression on me as Tyutchev,” said Count V.A. Sologub. In Europe, Tyutchev was admired just as in Russia; Heinrich Heine and the philosopher Friedrich Schelling valued their acquaintance with him. And in the salons, Tyutchev’s wit was valued no less than his poetry; Prince Peter Vyazemsky proposed to compose “Tyutcheviana”. It is a collection of Tyutchev's witticisms and aphorisms - compiled by the poet's grandchildren Fyodor Ivanovich and Nikolai Ivanovich Tyutchev and granddaughter Ekaterina Ivanovna Pigareva based on printed sources and materials from the family archive.
