More info

Pavel Vasilievich Makarov, the author of the book "Partisans of Tavria", was a participant in the First World, Civil and Great Patriotic Wars.
In 1919, P. V. Makarov penetrated the headquarters of the White Guard army to organize an underground struggle against the enemy. After his arrest and escape from prison, he becomes a partisan and, until the defeat of Wrangel in the Crimea, he commands a partisan regiment. During the Patriotic War, he was also in the rear of the Nazi invaders. P.V. Makarov tells about these stages of his combat life in the book "Partisans of Tavria". The second part of his memoirs - "Adjutant of General Mai-Maevsky" - was published as a separate edition back in 1927 and was highly appreciated by the Soviet press as a fascinating and truthful work about the days of the past.
