This publication includes the novel "Rout", in which the author describes the history of a partisan detachment during the civil war, and the novel "Young Guard" about the feat of the Komsomol members of Krasnodon. The action of the last work takes place during the Great Patriotic War. The main characters of the novel are young people who remained in the rear in the occupied territory, who were not subject to conscription by age, who created their own organizations and, together with the underground and partisans, fought against the fascist invaders. The book is illustrated, has an introductory article and notes.
