The novels and stories of Rinat Mukhamadiev are publicistically topical, imbued with mocking humor and mischievous smiles, but their main feature is humanity and kindness. The story "White Cliffs", written in the form of a parable-like grotesque, was published in the journal "Young Guard" in 1986 and gained great reader interest, probably primarily in view of its acute problems. The remaining works of this book are presented to the all-Union reader for the first time. Since the work of Rinat Mukhamadiev is characterized not only by a deep knowledge of life, but also by the ability to artistically comprehend the tasks put forward by it, there is reason to think that acquaintance with his first book in Russian will be interesting and memorable for readers
